This is how the ordering process works
ATTENTION: DUE TO LOGISTIC REASONS WE CURRENTLY ONLY SHIP TO AUSTRIA AND GERMANY!
1. SHOPPING CART
You look through great regional products and put them in your shopping cart. The next possible delivery day is displayed on the product page. In the order process, you are able to select the desired delivery day.
2. FRESHLY CUT ON THE DAY OF DISPATCH
All orders are freshly cut and prepared by our master butchers on the day of dispatch.
3. QUALITY CONTROL + PACKAGING
Before your order is packed, another quality control is carried out. Then your freshly vacuum-packed meat is ready. The packaging consists of three elements:
- The Fitmeat shipping box
- Corrugated and compressed paper for optimal and sustainable insulation
- Between two and four reusable cooling packs, depending on the outside temperature
4. PICK-UP FROM DHL
Pick-Up takes place between 4 - 6 pm. As soon as your parcel has been scanned by our DHL driver, you will receive:
- Parcel tracking information (tracking number, estimated delivery time)
- Possibility of issuing a parking permit (deposit at a neighbour's house, garage)
- Possibility to change your address later (if you are not at home, you can still change your prefered address in the first few hours after receiving the parcel)
5. DELIVERY ON THE NEXT WORKING DAY
Thanks to express delivery, you’ll receive your order in less than 24 hours after dispatch! If you are not at home on the scheduled delivery day, please give the shipping company permission to drop off your order. We guarantee a perfect cold chain until the first delivery attempt.
6. PACKAGE RECEIVED + RECYCLING
The cooling system of the meat lasts until the evening of the delivery day. We wish you a delicious meal and the enjoyment of meat from species-appropriate animal husbandry in Austria. Please do not forget to recycle the packaging and treat it with the same respect as the contents. You are welcome to collect the cold packs and give us a short info so that we can have them collected. Or you can use them at the lake in summer to cool your drinks. You can recycle cardboard and insulating material in the waste paper container.
Desired delivery date and drop-off authorisation for your home delivery.
You can select a desired delivery date for every order. A service that many of our customers value highly! With the additional delivery authorisation, you can have the meat conveniently delivered to your home, even if you are on the road. DHL Express will deliver your package directly to your door.
A drop-off permit can also be issued at short notice or the parcel can be redirected to your neighbour. With express shipping, we guarantee fast delivery on the next working day!
Save the shipping costs! For all our customers from Salzburg and the surrounding area, we offer our Click & Collect service.
Would you prefer to pick up your parcel directly from us? No problem, we are looking forward to meeting you! You are welcome to choose "click & collect at Fitmeat" as the delivery method, and we will be happy to arrange a pick-up date with you.

Packaging: This is how we pack your order
Sustainability is a very important factor in our company philosophy. We therefore pack your order exclusively in recyclable materials. From the shipping carton to the insulating material to the adhesive tape, the entire packaging is made of paper or cardboard.
The enclosed cold packs keep the meat nice and cold and are even reusable. They comply with the hygiene guidelines and are safe for food. If you don't need them, we'll even take them back, prepare them and reuse them.
Our logistics partners take care of the safe and punctual delivery of the packages. The parcels are collected from our company headquarters in the evening and delivered on the next working day.

Our handling of the Corona situation
With regard to COVID-19, we have taken a number of strict measures to further improve product and food safety. Reinforced hygiene measures at our farmers, butchers, commissary and packaging, as well as tightened hygiene and behavioural rules for all employees, maintain flawless production and delivery. To date, we have not had a single case of Corona on the farm and we want to keep it that way.
